Come Enjoy Our Championship Golf Course!
Designed by native Iowan Bradford Benz, this 18-hole championship golf course is open play! Exciting shot-making opportunities exist on every golf hole. Interesting targets at fairway landing areas and green sites guarded by artful bunkering invite good golf shots. The blending of bold landform sculpture with the existing topography including bentgrass fairways with existing prairie vegetation and mature native tree cover has produced a unique visual drama.
With boldly contoured fairways and green complexes, each hole on the golf course presents a special challenge. The unusual variety of golf holes which have been carefully sited into the natural landscape appeals to golfers of all levels of skill and ability which distinguishes Honey Creek as one of the truly unique golf courses in the Midwest.
Club Policies
Dress Code
Proper attire is required at all times and men must wear shirts with sleeves. Swimming apparel is not acceptable at any time. Soft spike golf shoes must be worn at all times unless wearing tennis shoes. Golf shoes with metal spikes are prohibited.
Tee Times
Arrive 20 minutes before your tee time to check in. Be at the tee box on time to tee off. Any delay in arriving at the 1st tee box may cause a delay to when you are permitted to tee off.
Checking in past your tee time at the clubhouse will not guarantee you any play time on the course or you will be asked to skip to the appropriate place on the course or reschedule for an open time slot.
No rain check, credit or discount will be given for missed holes play.
If you miss more than 2 tee times as a no show you may be restricted from booking any other future tee times.
NO GROUPS LARGER THAN 4 ARE ALLOWED
Tee times will be paired up with singles or doubles. ( Single cart seats are held not full carts for single players)
Tee times that are no shows are subject to a charge of $40. If you book for yourself and guests and the guests do not show or cancel 1 1/2 hours in advance a no show is charged for the tee time slots that were reserved. (Tee time slots are not for spectators)
Multiple tee times booked without notifying the clubhouse in advance can be cancelled by the pro shop without notice.
Pace of Play
Tee times are scheduled every 10 minutes to allow ample time between groups and to minimize wait times. As a courtesy to all of our guests, please maintain a pace of play so you finish 18 holes within 4 hours, 30 minutes. Please finish 9 holes in 2 hours, 15 minutes.
Cart
You must be at least 16 years of age to rent and drive a golf cart. Only two people are allowed on a golf cart.
Cart Riders: cart riders will be charged a cart seat fee.
Spectators are limited during weekends and prime time as carts are reserved for players.
Food & Beverage
Outside beer, liquor, and coolers are not permitted on the golf course and is against Iowa law. If outside alcohol is brought on to the golf course, the items will be taken away and not returned. Sunflower Seeds are PROHIBITED on the golf course.
General Rules
- Use of non-metal spikes is required.
- All golfers and riders must register in the clubhouse before they play.
- Groups are limited to no more than four players.
- All golfers must have their own clubs.
- All golfers should observe proper golf etiquette.
- Absolutely no personal beverages are permitted on the premises.
- When using golf carts, no more than two people are permitted on a cart at one time.
- Play should be completed in a maximum of 2 hours and 15 minutes, per nine holes.
- An adult must accompany juniors under the age of 12.
- When making the turn from #9-#10, players are allowed a short (6 min.) break.
- Use of range balls on the golf course is prohibited.
- The golf course is not to be used for any other purpose than the game of golf. As a safety precaution, walkers, joggers, bikers, etc. are not allowed on course property.
- The management reserves the right to prohibit use of the golf course by individuals who are found to continuously break course rules or destroy course property.
- All players are expected to help maintain the course at its best by replacing divots, repairing ball marks on greens, raking sand traps after use, and disposing of waste in containers provided.
- State law prohibits smoking on all golf course grounds and in all facilities.
No Walkers on Friday, Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays before 4pm
Keep your receipt as the starter and ranger will ask to see the receipt of purchase
Everyone will start on the front nine unless instructed by the clubhouse to start on the back 9.
